In 2020, solar panels were installed to generate photovoltaic energy that supplies the entire industrial complex.
Photovoltaic energy is electrical energy produced from sunlight and can be generated even on cloudy or rainy days. The greater the solar radiation, the more electricity is produced.
MN Group owns two farms totaling 651 hectares in the Paraibuna region, in the state of São Paulo. The city is located in the physiographic region of Alto Paraíba, within the Serra do Mar mountain range, and is crossed by the Tamoios Highway, which connects São José dos Campos to Caraguatatuba.
The MNH farm of MN Própolis, located within an environmental reserve in the Atlantic Forest with 366 hectares, is certified for organic production. In 2022, it began cultivating spices — a line with seven types of organic seasonings. The farm also maintains beekeeping operations, with approximately 200 hives spread across the property.
The second farm, with 285 hectares, borders the Serra do Mar State Park, which represents the largest continuous preserved area of Atlantic Forest in Brazil. In addition to contributing to the preservation of native forests, our farm receives exotic visitors, as the region is home to a wide variety of animals found in the park area. Beekeeping activities are also carried out there.
Lima Duarte is a Brazilian municipality located in the interior of the state of Minas Gerais. It belongs to the Zona da Mata mesoregion and the Juiz de Fora microregion, where two more MN Group farms are located.
With a total area of 656 hectares, it carries out the legalized extraction of candeia (Eremanthus erythropappus). From candeia, an essential oil is extracted, whose main component, alpha-bisabolol, provides numerous benefits for the skin.
